A new feature has been added to ddcBar that allows you to create and populate a page of subcaller shapes using data pasted from an Excel worksheet. Open the Subcaller-Editor on a blank page and paste your Excel data into the grid. When you click Save ddcbar will create the subcaller shapes and populate them with data. See the ddBar help file for more details.
There has also been 2 minor bug fixes. The first has to do with the Compare dialog halting at the end of the first DDC file in certain cases and not flagging the extra code in the second file. The second corrects an issue when ddcBar saves point data with the Visio file. In certain cases the AI, AO and AV data will not be displayed when the file is opened again.
ddcBar: A couple of issues were fixed in the Point-Export dialog where some options and the OK button were not enabled under certain circumstances. Both ddcBar and ddcToolset have updates applies to the support extension database.
Technical support extensions are now supported by the licensing activation system allowing you to continue to use your existing activation codes for new releases and email support. This applies to multi-user accounts only (single-user accounts must purchase a new activation code). Contact sales@ddcToolbox.com for support extension details and pricing.
New versions of ddcBar and ddcToolset are available for download. These releases have new enhancements to the activation system to add support for service-and-support extensions without needing to purchase a new and different activation code. This should help those multi-user accounts who wish to continue with version upgrades and support. There is also a couple of enhancements and bug fixes to ddcBar as well as support for the “units” property in the import/export routines.

New updates are now available for download for both the ddcBar and ddcToolset. Support for the ACM based VLX controller and GC Builder is included in the ddcBar release as well as a few new error checks added to DDC Explorer . The ddcToolset has a couple of bug fixes and speed enhancements for network access.
ddcBar and ddcToolset now support high DPI displays starting with release 16.11.13. At this time Windows 10 per-monitor support is not implemented but may be added in a future release.
MPDC has added 2 new options to work with SQL passwords.
ddcToolset updates available. Release 16.9.13 adds three new tools to the mix. SOC.exe reads your Inkscape files and creates startup displays including setting device-id’s and zone text from data in the source file. dNumber.exe can renumber a complete rep-job file and button-target system for those cases where you need to merge multiple jobs. dFrame.exe can add frames and borders around existing display background images. Other enhancements include new image library for better png support and a number of bug fixes.
DDCbar version 16.8.22 fixes an issue within the Point-Editor where reading and writing of Excel based VLX point data would be misplaced in the worksheet. This release also adds support for the GC Builder VLX workbook in the VLX Configuration Editor. Numerous dialogs have been updated to work better with high DPI monitors and a few minor issues have been resolved in the user interface.
ddcBar release 16.7.20 is a critical update for all users of ddcBar. This release fixes 2 issues with product stability when accessing the toolbar or ribbon interface. This is a recommended update to all licensed users.
This release also adds a couple of new features as well as updated documentation.
Release 16.2.14 of the ddcToolset adds support for Compass 1.4. This includes the new User-Graphics object as well as the Transparent property. SDC.exe had been updated to fix the issue where using a gallery style object could cause trashing of other objects in memory. A feature has been added to enable the use of the Transparent property for all objects created. QDE.exe has been enhanced to display the cells that can be edited in am alternate color. This makes it easier to know which properties of each object can be edited.
There is a new release v16.2.9 of ddcBar on the downloads page. This release addresses all reported issues from the last few months as well as adding a couple of feature enhancements. This is a recommended upgrade to all licensed users.
The ddcToolset update is behind schedule. I apologize for this delay and hope to have it out this month.
ddcbar version 15.11.6 fixes a number of minor issues with the Point-Editor export to Excel. It also corrects an error where point-types were not translated correctly when importing or exporting to the Device-Settings shape. New enhancements include the ability to restore the original icons in the VisualLogic DDC stencils for those who prefer that style.
The current expected target date for support of the new display objects in Compass 1.4 is early December.
A new installer for the IBCU utility is available on the downloads page. It correctly copies the missing file to the target PC.
If you installed ddcbar version 15.9.27 you may have run across an issue with the Visio addin paths incorrectly initialized. This had been fixed in subsequent versions of the installer. Other updates during the week mainly had to do with support for Visio 2007. If you use the ddcBar scripts feature the latest release has corrected the paste/run script tool to keep the newly added shapes selected when the script has ended. This restores a previous feature that was inadvertently removed last spring when improving script execution times.
Starting with version 15.9.27 all ddcToolbox program that require a license for use will use a new activation method. The new system will no longer require contacting ddcToolbox with a host-id and waiting for a response. Instead you will receive an activation code when you pay for any product and can immediately activate your software using your internet connection. For those instances where no internet connection is available there is an off line alternative. The ddcToolbox Product Activation Guide.pdf has more details.
Any currently licensed user who wishes to upgrade to newer product releases can request a new activation code. Those who purchased multiple licenses together may be eligible to swap for a multi-seat license. Contact email@example.com for details.
Version 15.9.26 of ddcBar and ddcToolset are available. Additional feature have been added to enhance the Excel workbook and GC Builder support. These release include all 18 patch updates since v15.6.2. This will be the last release of ddcBar and ddcToolset that will support the original method of licensing products using the host-id and license file. A newer internet based method will be used for all future releases. All current license holders can request their new activation codes when they install these newer releases.
